We all have our own political views and our beholden to our own opinions. As Detroit’s friendly neighborhood sexuality doula, I am not here to try and sway you to one side or the other.
However, I am asking you to ensure that you take action. That’s right: no matter what side of the aisle you find yourself, all I ask is that you stand up, assess your true feelings and beliefs, and make it into the voting booth so that your voice is heard.
It’s really that simple. Go in, vote, and be counted.
Declaring your choice is an act of empowerment, something that is central to our sensuality. As we know, Michigan has many critical-level issues pertinent to womanhood and sexuality on our ballots this season.
Your votes will determine not only their future, but the future of our collective intimate wellness. I am imploring you, Detroit, to vote with your sisters in mind.
