Why the Work of a Sexuality Doula Matters

My work as a Sexuality Doula is something that really matters to me, and is something that I feel really matters to the world. Why? As women, we need to ensure we’re actively creating a community of forward-thinking and inspired people. We need to shed harmful old attitudes and societal expectations regarding womanhood that simply don’t serve anyone in this modern age.

In a nutshell, I’m here to help you integrate the deepest and darkest parts of you with all of your shiny pieces. You’re a work of art, just as you are. There’s no need to hide the brush strokes.

That being said, yes, it’s hard in general to be a woman. It’s even harder to be empowered, bold, and unashamed of your inherent sexual nature. We’ve all been there – we’re told that we’re “too much”, too “out there”, that we should “tone it down”. I’ve had that happen too, but I stopped caring about those naysaying people long ago. Those people are used to being small, and playing small. Trust me, you are meant for things way bigger and better than they could ever comprehend! So, who cares? Maybe one day they’ll turn it around, but in the meantime, we’re going to kick up the dust and pour some love into ourselves. You’ll always be the best investment you can ever make, and I want to help you transcend all that nonsense.
